Good Place to eat at Alleppey in Kerala

Avees Puttu Restaurant is a good place where you can have good breakfast, lunch and dinner. I usually try not to miss this place while traveling to Trivandrum via Kochi. Avees is popular for Kuttanadan dishes, open between 7 am and 10 pm.

The ambience is really good, one side of the restaurant is sort of open and you can see the paddy fields, which belongs to Avees and they use the rice from those paddy fields for cooking Puttu and other rice dishes like Appam, Iddi Appam / Hoppers and many other.

Check out this Video for getting some idea of the place

They have good parking space, toilets, etc, so if you are on a long highway drive, good place to have a break.

Alappuzha in Kerala among the 5 tops cities in the World to manage Waste efficiently – United Nations

Great job – proud to be from Alappuzha District

Highlighting India’s waste woes, an environment expert had commented, “If waste management is not done right then by 2030 India will need a landfill as big as Bengaluru.” When compared to other countries of the world, though India is lagging behind, the good news is that it has already started taking baby steps towards curbing its waste generation. And interestingly, the United Nations recently lauded one of those small yet terrific measures in their report titled ‘Solid Approach To Waste: How 5 Cities Are Beating Pollution’.
